Dr Ana Prados

Ana ParadosDr Ana Prados is a senior research scientist at the Earth and Space Institute, University of Maryland Baltimore County, US. She has 20 years of experience in science policy and the design of research and education tools for making satellite remote sensing data and information relevant to environmental managers and policy makers.

She developed the internationally recognised Applied Remote Sensing Training Program for NASA, enabling organizations worldwide to integrate satellite data into air quality, disaster, ecological, water, and wildfire management.

She currently conducts research on the social drivers of disasters and wildfire science and risk governance in the US, South America, and southern Europe. She holds a PhD in chemistry and a master’s in public policy from the University of Maryland College Park.
