Naveed Kapadia
Naveed Kapadia is a Senior Lecturer and the head of MSc Aviation Operations and Management Programme at Buckinghamshire New University, UK. A qualified EASA pilot with over 15 years’ senior leadership experience in global flight training and airline operations, he combines academic research with real-world operational insight. His PhD focuses on the Crew Cognitive Resilience Index (CCRI), a framework designed to measure and strengthen pilot resilience in highly automated flight decks.
Naveed’s research explores the intersection of human cognition, automation, and safety culture, with a strong emphasis on inclusive and socially responsible training practices. He is an active member of the Royal Aeronautical Society’s Flight Operations Safety Group and contributes regularly to professional forums and industry publications on emerging challenges in aviation safety, technology, and human performance.
