On May 15 – 16, 2024, the Disasters Expo will make its European debut at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, bringing together thousands of disaster response professionals to foster meaningful collaborations and widespread education. With so many emergency management experts under one roof, it’s set to be a memorable day for community resilience in Europe.

The event will be focused on three main domains: showcasing disaster management solutions, educating attendees with seminars, and facilitating networking between visitors. From cutting-edge technological products to humanitarian strategies, there will be countless exciting developments on display in the curated exhibition hall.

Within the curated seminar lineup, there will be a selection of keynote speakers offering industry-leading insights on various avenues of disaster resilience. Already confirmed are talks by representatives from world-renowned organisations such as the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), the World Bank, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). Attendees can expect to be guided through a wide variety of topics, absorbing perspectives from diverse angles.

The event comes after a historic year of disasters in Europe, with the continent suffering over €77 billion in damages in 2023, largely due to the devastating earthquake in Turkey. While disaster management is often overlooked in Europe, it’s more relevant on the continent now than it’s ever been before.
