Massimo Pani is EU Resident Twinning Advisor for an EU 1 Million Euro counterterrorism capacity development project in North Macedonia.
In 1992 he attended the Military Academy in Modena and in 1994 after being appointed Second Lieutenant of the Carabinieri Corps, he transferred to the Carabinieri Officer’s School in Rome. After completing the five years’ military and police educational studies, in 1997 he graduated with an LLM in Law at the La Sapienza University. In 2003 he received an MA in internal and international security from Tor Vergata University and in 2015 he graduated with an MSc in Security and Risk Management from Loughborough University in the UK. Massimo has over 28 years' of domestic and international experience as a Security, Crisis, and Operational Resilience leader, matured in complex settings and matrixed organisations overseeing people, resources, and information in multinational jurisdictions in Europe, the Balkans, USA, Asia, CSI, and the Middle East.
