Asia’s only event dedicated to improving healthcare in remote and extreme environments

Leveraging from our globally recognised healthcare production series and regional demands, we are proud to present you with Remote Healthcare Asia. Our inaugural Remote Healthcare Asia is a platform for dedicated healthcare influencers, government bodies and leading suppliers to embark on wide ranging discussions including the pressing issues concerning the healthcare industry.

Taking place for the first time in January 2017 in Singapore the conference is quickly establishing itself as Asia’s leading gathering with the support of UK Defence Medical Services and Major General Bricknell, Director Medical Policy and Operational Capability at UK MOD.

The conference theme “Addressing the challenges of remote medical practitioners working in trying circumstances” aims to provide end users and service providers a packed programme of discussions and demonstrations around the topic of utilising technology to enhance remote patient monitoring and medical evacuation. Focusing on the stimulation of sharing of information, the conference will examine the following:

  • Market outlook on remote healthcare practices
  • Challenges of working in multi-environment situations
  • Medical evacuation and patient monitoring
  • Financial outlook
  • Training and simulation
  • Medical innovation and technology
  • Safety and personal management

“Remote healthcare is important because it encompasses health activities involved with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment targeted at those working in remote locations” said Dr Mohamad Sabri Mohd Shaffi, Senior Occupational Physician, Sarawak Shell Berhad”. This is a great opportunity for local and international stakeholders to showcase the region’s most ground breaking strategies and technologies for combating the biggest challenges facing the market.

With keynote presentations from UK Surgeon General’s Defence Medical Services, Apollo TeleHealth Services India, Institute of Remote Healthcare UK, National University of Singapore, Shell Malaysia Upstream, Joint Forces Command alongside international best practices from RPK Consulting Abu Dhabi, ICME International and more, a full house is expected.

Delegates will receive first hand insights on remote healthcare project updates from experienced medical practitioners, understand the project execution strategies including opportunities and challenges, market opportunities in the APAC region, key requirements in overcoming financial risk, discover the latest innovations and most importantly the fundamentals of operating in a clinically challenging environment.

To maximise engagement opportunities, Remote Healthcare Asia will run in parallel with conferences on Undersea Defence Technology, Electronic Warfare and Military Training and Simulation. Join us this 17-18 January 2017 here in Marina Bay Sands Singapore as the conference and exhibition explore techniques developed by international government bodies and the challenges encountered in private companies with regards to operating in remote or austere environments.
