Terrorism Studies - Individual Modules / Certificate / Advanced Certificate

New intake starts on February 16, 2015.

This renowned online course – from the Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence at the University of St Andrews – is recognised as the best globally accessible, flexible, tutored, online part-time study solution for professionals who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of the subject, hone their analysis skills in countering the terrorism and security threat, or prepare themselves for future higher academic study.

An abundance of Universities have entered the subject area in recent years, with a wide range of styles of courses. However, one of the original, and a leading specialist centre founded back in 1994, is the Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV).

This is Europe's oldest for the study of the causes, dynamics, characteristics and consequences of terrorism and related forms of political violence based on rigorous, evidence-based, scholarly analysis that is policy-relevant but independent. The CSTPV continues to offer the most well thought of courses, and undertakes cutting edge research into the subject – and offers the most popular academic and professional development courses on terrorism.

IBC Academy is a partner of the University of St Andrews and manages enrolments to this course.  This is a University of St Andrews programme and qualification, jointly developed by the University and IBC Academy, and assessed and quality assured by the University of St Andrews.
