Tala launches international crisis communications network and secures first client
- 12-15-2011
Following its appointment by global security and risk assessment company, red24, PR consultancy Tala has announced the launch of an international crisis communications network. The new network comprises communications experts across the world, including in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France and Mexico, as well as in the UK.
Through creating an alliance of highly specialised crisis consultants, Tala is able to provide clients with an international offering, including a standardised approach to reputational risk assessment, issues mitigation strategies, crisis communication procedures, simulation exercises and on-call consultancy.
The new service, which will be available to Tala’s new and existing clients, builds on its crisis and reputational management work for many companies in the UK. For London-based red24, which helps international companies manage crisis situations ranging from product recalls to rescuing staff trapped by terrorist attacks or adverse weather conditions, Tala’s services are a valuable addition to the service they already provide to their clients.
Andrew Baud, managing director of Tala, who will lead the network, said: “We’re capitalising on the benefits of selecting a group of proven country and sector experts who have the mindset and resources to create a credible low-maintenance global team. When the crisis hits, your reputation is dependent on the skills and experience of the person who is on the ground to help you.”
Neil Thompson, operations director of red24, said: “We look to offer the highest standard of pre-incident training and crisis consultancy to our clients who include many of the world’s leading insurance companies and their policyholders. We’re delighted to take advantage of Tala’s new international network, which will see their consultants utilised across a wide range of differing clients, issues and incidents.”
