Argentina oil refinery blast 'kills one, injures five'

An explosion at an oil refinery in Argentina has killed one person and injured five others, local media say.

The blast happened at a refinery owned by Brazil's Petrobras oil company near Bahia Blanca, some 450km (280 miles) south-west of Buenos Aires.

Officials ordered a shutdown of the plant following the blast, which happened at about midnight local time (04:00 GMT).

The cause of the explosion is not yet known.

The blast happened in an operations room at the plant, which is located in Ingeniero White, 15km south of the port of Bahia Blanca.

The five injured people were taken to the local hospital in Bahia Blanca, according to media reports.
